Adventures in Virtual World ~((O))~
Come with me - Artofmack.com
As I explore new virtual worlds -
(above- virtual charactor created in Kaneva)
Recently an explosion of new virtual worlds has come online -
Entry to Blog: Adventures in Virtual World ~((O))~
(No suprise considering the catastrophy
that occured in the underground -
Everyone was forced to the surface -
to find shelter - wherever - however)
My first review is for the Kaneva Virtual World-
It came online last year - but was only accessable
if you had an upgraded graphics card.
So the time finally arrived - and I had the graphics card-
So I checked it out - The avatar or virtual character you
create is about medium grade - but you can earn rewards -
and get a nice change of clothes at the virtual mall -
You can always ask around if you get lost -
Probably not taking it to seriously is also a good idea.
Skip around or actually what appears to be running place while walking-
Navigating to different places- or homes. You will be able to
buy furniture and plants - The graphics are rich on the user side-
You can change the walls with your own graphics or photos.
You will soon enough make your way to a club - And discover your
emote buttons have dance moves- you can do several moves with your
virtual character- this to is somewhat limited -
Overall Kaneva wins big with the spaces the user can create-
but as with all the virtual worlds- it does not offer a virtual market
place for user created content ;(
The next site I discovered while in the mall - and overheard the
shouters proclaiming another virtual to be more to their liking-
I quickly beamed up to VSide- and was in a whole new virtual world -
this one looks more like a comic book than virtual-
Vside plays music in different zones - and has several clubs-
where you can dance- it has more dance moves - and many corporate
shops where you can buy credits and have actual brand name fake stuff-
The best feature is an applause button where you can select someone
around you and clap for them- it doesnt earn you anything - it is just fun for
them and for you - Vside is overall somewhat complicated - and can often freeze-
so you have to start over - and it can be very slow -
the same thing happens on kaneva- but if you want to enjoy a virtual
life - You have a few hours to waste and you wanna just zone out for
a while - Either one of these virtual worlds will provide - at least
for now!
(to avoid sheer panic- remember these are stories)
See you in the UnderGround.....
